On November 1, 2023, an agreement was signed between the Chui Regional United Hospital (CHRUH) and the Non-commercial educational institution “Educational, Scientific and Production Complex “International University of Kyrgyzstan” (NCEI ESPC “IUK”) on the implementation of a public-private partnership project aimed at modernizing the CHRUH by creating an Academic Medical Hub. We would like to remind you that the National Educational Establishment Educational Research and Production Company “IUK” was declared the winner of the competition for the SPP project “Reconstruction of the Chui Regional United Hospital by creating an Academic Medical Hub.”
The implementation of this SPP project will significantly enhance the potential of the CHRUH, transforming it from a standard secondary-level public hospital providing medical services to the population into a tertiary-level university clinic (academic hub), integrating medical, scientific, and educational activities in its work.
The result of the implementation of this SPP agreement between the Public and Private partners will be the following:
— the status of the CHRUH will significantly increase, which, as a result of the project, will receive the status of a tertiary-level university clinic, which will strengthen its reputation and attractiveness for patients.
— CHRUH will expand the range of medical services provided, which will strengthen its potential, and will also prevent the migration of patients to national-level institutions and the private healthcare sector.
— partnership with a leading university will have a synergistic effect on the work of both institutions, strengthening the potential of each.
— will have a significant impact during the passage of the CHRUH national and, possibly, subsequent international accreditation.
— CHRUH employees will have the opportunity to improve their qualifications at the academic hub and will be involved in educational and scientific work, which will contribute to their professional growth.
In order to implement the SPP project, ESPC “IUK” at the first stage of the project, at the expense of its own financial resources, undertakes to carry out certain types of repair and construction work and purchase equipment.
