On October 16, 2025, the International School of Medicine of IUK held a scientific conference titled “Mental Health in Disasters and Emergencies”, dedicated to World Mental Health Day. The event was initiated and organized by the Student Council with the support of students from the six-year education program.
The conference brought together invited experts — psychologists and psychotherapists — as well as students who presented reports on psychological resilience and post-crisis recovery. As part of the program, participants also performed situational role plays that became the basis for discussions on key aspects of mental health.
At the conclusion of the conference, the authors of the best student papers were awarded. The event served as an important platform for sharing knowledge, raising awareness, and fostering the professional growth of students interested in mental health in stressful and emergency situations.
