International Olympiad in Anatomy, Histology, and Operative Surgery among English-speaking students: Triumph of Young Medics
The staff of the Department of Macro and Microanatomy at the International School of Medicine (ISM) under the auspices of the Medical University of the Kyrgyz Republic successfully organized and conducted the International Olympiad in Anatomy, Histology, and Operative Surgery among students studying in English.
Students from eight universities of the Kyrgyz Republic participated in this thrilling competition, and students from Tashkent and Samarkand were also invited. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, they were unable to attend the Olympiad.
The Olympiad consisted of three rounds, in each of which participants demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and clinical reasoning. In the first round, students showcased their readiness in a QUIZ, demonstrating a high level of theoretical preparation. In the second round, they exhibited their clinical thinking and analytical abilities by solving complex cases and tasks. Finally, in the third round, they demonstrated their practical skills by completing assignments related to operative surgery.
As a result of intense competition, the team of students from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University emerged victorious, winning the Grand Prix. This attests to the high level of preparation and talent present in their team. The International School of Medicine (ISM) deservedly took the first place, confirming their excellence in the field of anatomy, histology, and operative surgery. The second place was also secured by the International School of Medicine (ISM), which speaks to their thorough preparation and dedication to the field. The Bishkek International Medical Institute achieved an honorable third place, showcasing its brilliance and talent.
The organization of the International Olympiad in Anatomy, Histology, and Operative Surgery is a grand achievement of the Department of Macro and Microanatomy staff at the International School of Medicine (ISM). It provided a platform for young medics to showcase their knowledge and skills, as well as to exchange experiences and strengthen friendly connections with colleagues from all corners of the region.
