As part of strengthening academic collaboration between universities of the Silk Road countries, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Academic Consortium “International University of Kyrgyzstan,” Academician Asylbek Akmatbekovich Aidaraliev, and a delegation from Xi’an Jiaotong University (China) led by Professor Wang Qiuwang.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for jointly organizing international academic conferences, regular visits and scientific exchanges, as well as timely information sharing on scientific events and initiatives.
The key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Strategic Cooperation Agreement for Periodical Development between the Periodicals Publishing House of Xi’an Jiaotong University and the International University of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the agreement, academic journals published by both parties will receive priority placement and promotion on the Journal Cluster of The Silk Road platform, coordinated by Xi’an Jiaotong University. This platform features academic journals indexed in international databases such as Scopus and Web of Science.
The cooperation is aimed at expanding the international visibility of scientific publications, boosting academic exchanges, and strengthening cultural understanding between partners. Notably, several staff members of the International University of Kyrgyzstan have been nominated to join the editorial boards of academic journals, opening new opportunities for enhanced scientific dialogue and research development.
This partnership opens new horizons for the development of academic journals and promotes broader participation of International University of Kyrgyzstan researchers in the global academic community.
