Biruni University (Istanbul, Turkey) and the International University of Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan) Sign a Memorandum of Understanding

To strengthen international cooperation in the field of medical education and scientific research, Biruni University (BU, Turkey) and the Educational-Scientific-Production Complex “International University of Kyrgyzstan” (IUK, Kyrgyzstan) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The agreement aims to enhance bilateral collaboration, focusing on building strong partnerships in education, medicine, healthcare, related sciences, and academic exchange. The signed Memorandum opens broad opportunities for implementing joint educational, research, and academic initiatives between the two universities.

According to the Memorandum, the Parties have expressed their commitment to developing joint initiatives in the following key areas:

  • Exchange of medical faculty students for academic and research internships;
  • Exchange of academic staff for lectures, masterclasses, and participation in medical conferences;
  • Joint scientific research and clinical projects in the fields of medicine and healthcare;
  • Exchange of scientific publications and methodological materials in the medical field;
  • Implementation of short-term professional development programs for medical specialists;
  • Joint development of educational programs, including PhD training programs;
  • Creation of a platform for continuous professional development of doctors and medical educators;
  • Other forms of cooperation as mutually agreed.

Cooperation will be based on the principles of mutual benefit and interest, with a focus on strengthening the capacity of medical education and scientific research in both countries, as well as promoting academic mobility and the exchange of experience between the medical communities of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.

This step creates new opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers from both countries and will contribute to the training of highly qualified medical professionals, the integration of innovative approaches in education, and the development of international scientific dialogue.
