On June 11, 2025, a training session was held at the International School of Medicine of the International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISM IUK) with the participation of Alexander Vladimirovich Rytov, Regional Representative of EBSCO Information Services for Russia, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus.
The training was attended by faculty members, researchers, and the administration of ISM IUK, who are interested in expanding access to modern information resources and enhancing the quality of scientific and educational activities.
During the session, Alexander Rytov presented a wide range of EBSCO’s electronic resources and software solutions, including databases of scholarly journals, collections of e-books, and the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) integrated search system.
Special attention was given to the management of electronic resources in academic libraries. Participants learned how to properly formulate search queries to obtain the most relevant results, the purpose and use of a personal account on the platform, and the specific features of working with e-books on the EBSCO platform.
Attendees asked questions and received practical advice on the effective use of electronic resources in their research and educational work.
The event concluded with an expression of interest in further collaboration with EBSCO and in implementing joint educational and research projects.
