On May 15, 2025, the International School of Medicine of the International University of Kyrgyzstan (ISM IUK) hosted a visit by a delegation from Kyung Hee University, Republic of Korea, as part of the implementation of the “Zharkyn Kyrgyzstan” project.
The main goal of the visit was to strengthen cooperation between universities in the Kyrgyz Republic to improve nursing education, as well as to implement a bachelor’s degree program in Nursing aimed at expanding practical opportunities for future nurses. Under this program, students will be trained according to modern international standards and will undergo practical training using advanced methods and healthcare technologies.
The visit of the Korean delegation marked an important step toward the successful implementation of the joint educational project. During the visit, representatives from the Korean university met with the leadership and administrative team of ISM IUK to discuss prospects for experience exchange, joint development of educational programs, and opportunities to expand academic cooperation.
An important component of the project is also the creation of a partnership network among universities in the Kyrgyz Republic. This network will facilitate the exchange of best practices and technologies between universities and healthcare institutions, which will have a positive impact on the development of healthcare in Kyrgyzstan.
