A SEMINAR DEDICATED TO THE WORLD AIDS DAY WAS HELD AT MSM MUK

Every year on December 1, World AIDS Day is celebrated. This is a chance for people around the world to unite in the fight against HIV and support those living with HIV.

On December 1, 2022, a seminar was held at the ISM IUK, organized jointly with the dean’s office, the Student Council, and the Department of Infectious Diseases. The event was held in an informative format, where teachers made presentations on the current AIDS situation both in the world and in Kyrgyzstan, with detailed figures and statistics. The students of ISM also prepared reports on AIDS and its aspects as an infectious disease, the causes of its origin, clinic, supportive therapy, and methods of protection. Speakers also stressed the importance of ending stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV. A presentation was made on the myths and stereotypes of AIDS, which caused a lively discussion among the students. The information seminar ended with the presentation of certificates to active participants.
