On 14 May 2024, the III International Olympiad on Anatomy, Histology and Operative Surgery among students studying in English was held at the International School of Medicine of the IUK under the guidance of the Head of the Department of Macro and Microanatomy, Associate Professor N.A. Akmatov, together with the Department of Student Support and Extracurricular Activities.
Students from seven Kyrgyz Republic universities participated in this exciting competition, and students from Novosibirsk State Medical University were also invited.
According to the results of the intense competition, the team of students from Novosibirsk State Medical University won the highest award – the Grand Prix, which testifies to the high level of preparation of the team. The first place deservedly went to Ala-Too International University, confirming their superiority in the fields of anatomy, histology, and operative surgery. Second place went to the International School of Medicine IUK, testifying to their thorough training and dedication to science. The International Graduate School of Medicine took the honorable third place, demonstrating their brilliance and talent.
The organizing committee and faculty members of the Department of Macro and Microanatomy express their sincere gratitude to all the participants and guests who contributed to the success of this wonderful event. They also recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the students, sincerely hoping that the International Olympiad in Anatomy, Histology, and Operative Surgery will become a tradition and will inspire young medics to reach new heights in science and medicine.
