On 20th of November 2023, the Department of “Fundamental Disciplines” of ISM IUK held a guest lecture for students of the Faculty of Medicine on the topic: “Coenzyme function of water-soluble vitamins”. The guest lecturer was a candidate of pharmaceutical sciences, and a teacher of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev Ermekova Dinara Urmatovna who told students about the history of vitaminology, the nomenclature and classification of vitamins, their chemical nature, biological role of vitamins and vitamin-like substances. Special attention was paid to the importance of vitamins in metabolism and their participation in biochemical processes.
At the end of the lecture, students were able to ask questions, to which they received detailed answers.
Acting Associate Professor of the Department of “Fundamental Disciplines” S.O. Kadyrkulova handed D.U. Ermekova a letter of thanks for the lecture and expressed hope for further cooperation.
